Police are investigating the robbery of a tobacconist in Caboolture last week.
Around 6.45am police were called to an Argyll Street business on Friday January 13 where a man wearing a mask threatened a female employee who attempted to flee, before he grabbed her and a violent struggle ensued.
The woman was able to break free and ran to safety, however she sustained lacerations to her arm and face, requiring treatment in hospital.
The man stole a sum of money from the till and a quantity of cigarettes and fled on foot west along Argyll Street.
The man was wearing a brown halloween mask, ‘DriRider’ brand jacket, blue jeans, brown work boots, black gloves and an orange hi-vis shit. He was carrying a red ‘Mickey Mouse’ branded Christmas bag and a red ‘Bunnings’ branded umbrella. He is approximately 185cm tall and has a fair complexion.
Anyone with information on the robbery, or who many know the man’s identity is urged to come forward. Anonymous reports can be made.
