Just months after the first ever sold out For Shore took place, the brand new festival announces the second edition on Saturday 4th May 2019 after receiving rave reviews.
Squeezing every last bit out of summer, For Shore is excited to bring another vibrant lineup to the shores of Sandstone Point Hotel for 2019. First lineup just released with more to be announced later!
On headline duties, multi Aria Award winner Hayden James is set to perform tracks like “Better Together” which made #78 on 2018’s Triple J Hottest 100 and “Just Friends” which hit #15. Joining Hayden James on the waterfront is Hot Dub Time Machine who will be bringing his ‘time travelling’, ‘dance-through-the-decades’ audio-visual party concept for one stellar live performance of many genres from many decades.
Selling out shows across the country, Mallrat will be singing her outrageously catchy indie-pop tunes to the crowd of sun- soaked fans at For Shore; guaranteeing to make attendees move with her hit “UFO” which got to #70 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 in 2018 and “Groceries” which reached a whopping #7.
Also grooving on the shores May 4th and bringing their live show is Australian electronic band Bag Raiders performing hits like “Sunlight” and “Shooting Stars” which became a viral meme in 2017. Soon to be releasing new music this year, Bag Raiders are one to watch in 2019.
Supporting the likes of Tinashe and Tinie Tempah, singer-songwriter Thandi Phoenix will bring her powerful vocals to For Shore. Blending pop and electronica with raw and honest storytelling, attendees are in for a musical journey with hits like “Tell Me Where All The Lovers Have Gone” which hit #1 on Spotify’s Australian viral charts and successful tune “Standing Too Close”.
Australian duo, Boo Seeka are also set to take the stage with their electronica/hip hop tunes providing chilled vibes with the likes of “Kingdom Leader” and “Deception Bay”.
Selling out beforehand, the first edition of For Shore created waves from day one with a lineup of talent, hand-picked to provide the perfect soundtrack for a sunny day on the bay.
The first event saw the waterfront come alive with gigantic kites, palm trees and roving characters straight out of the sea. The relaxed daytime atmosphere became electrified with an insane ‘raved-about’ production of lasers, lights, fire, co2, confetti canons, streamers and fireworks.
After seeing the demand for a second For Shore, Entertainment Director Jonathan Jackson knew it would be a hard event to follow but says he is excited to share the new lineup.
“We had numerous requests to host the successful music event again. Hundreds of attendees messaged us to say it was one of the best festivals they had ever been to - which was a huge compliment. We look forward to showcasing the best music in Australia once again in 2019”
For Shore is a magical oasis and paradise for festival lovers. The ultimate summertime experience can be found again on the shores of Sandstone Point Hotel, May 4th.
