The holidays might be winding-down but the fun is still ramping-up at galleries and museums across the Moreton Bay Region.
On Saturday 19 January every Council gallery and museum will be hosting hands-on activities for kids - to put creative fingers and imaginative minds to the test!
“From kite making classes to singing lessons and even etching workshops, Saturday 19 January will see a creative explosion across our region,” said Spokesperson for Lifestyle and Amenity Councillor Denise Sims.
“There’s something for every budding artist and artisan to discover and unleash their creativity.
“The best part is that they will be learning practical skills that they can take away with them and hopefully utilise in their school or spare time with their family.
“I think one of the most interesting sessions will be the Bathroom Band workshop where kids will get the opportunity to become the lead singer of a three-piece band and make bathroom inspired instruments to pluck, drum and toot.
“Or if you’ve got the moves why not strike a pose at Caboolture Regional Art Gallery to celebrate Adorn; a fascinating exhibition where you can explore the meanings beneath what we wear.”
