Dust off the picnic blanket and treat Nan and Pop to some tasty treats this National Grandparents Day with a Picnic in the Park at Ferny Hills on Sunday 28 October.
Some of the region’s best food trucks will pull into George Willmore Park from 9am to 12noon serving up everything from hot beverages to mouth-watering waffles, crepes, and more.
And there’s not just delicious food but plenty of entertainment on offer including $2 carnival rides, live music, a free animal farm and face painting.
Division 10 Councillor, Matt Constance said he’s looking forward to seeing families come together to enjoy a morning at the park.
“Ferny Hills Picnic in the Park takes place on National Grandparents Day and I can’t wait to see the whole family settle in for a morning of delicious food, live music, rides and fun at George Willmore Park,” he said.
“Kids can make a special present for their Nan and Pop at the free arts and crafts activity, and there will be some great music onstage including the smooth jazz sounds of Leena Salim.”
Picnic in the Park is proudly presented by Moreton Bay Regional Council and supported by Cr Matt Constance.
The event will run from 9am to 12noon on Sunday 28 October at George Willmore Park, 52 Ferny Way, Ferny Hills.
