Idol runner-up headlines country fundraiser

Luke Dickens will headline a stellar line-up of local country artists at North Lakes Sports Club’s Country Music Concert on Saturday 6th October.

The Australian Idol runner-up and Toyota Star Talent Quest Winner is sure to be a crowd favourite with his smooth vocals and original country songs.

Following in the steps of Caboolture’s very own Keith Urban and also Lee Kernaghan in his accolades, Luke Dicken’s country roots run deep and are reflected in his songs.

Hailing from Wagga Wagga, this country boy has the farmers at heart and as an ex-shearer, knows the struggles of drought first hand.

The event is part of the CSC Group’s Clubs in Arms fundraising initiative which is aiming to raise over $20,000 for farmers across North Lakes Sports Club, Caboolture Sports Club and Centenary Lakes Sports Club & Function Centre, according to General Manager Chris Sartori.

“$20 from every ticket sold, along with fundraising on the night will be donated to Lifeline Darling Downs in support of our Aussie farmers,” Mr Sartori said.

“The amazing support from Luke and our supporting artists, Taila Gouge, Brooke Schubert and Black ‘n’ Red Duo, has made this event possible.

“Reserved Seat & Dinner tickets are from just $55 per person and include a buffet dinner and reserved seating in the Discovery Lounge.

Lifeline Darling Downs supports our farmers through financial means to those drought affected in an aim to reduce stress and provide a sense of hope in our rural communities.

Tickets can be purchased via the North Lakes Sports Club website or through the Foyer from $55 per person or patrons can enjoy free entry to the event from 6pm onwards.
