It has been a huge year for Newcastle songstress, Lyn Bowtell. 2017 began with Lyn collecting 3 Golden Guitar Awards and then turning all 4 judges chairs and joining Team George on The Voice. Amid an already hectic schedule, Bowtell managed to make time to write and record her new release ‘CALLING YOU’ which is out now! This six track EP marks a distinct departure in musical style from her roots in alternative / pop country brimming with the singer's soulful, striking vocals and connecting deeply with raw emotion as only Bowtell can. The first single HE BURNS is a cover of a song by Irish singer/songwriter Foy Vance. Lyn has said that as a songwriter she might have in the past avoided doing a cover but this song really speaks to her, with so much emotion packed into 3 minutes and she can't help but smile when she sings it. Lyn first came to prominence as songwriter and singer for multi award winning Country Pop trio Bella, since then she has released two critically acclaimed solo albums, ’SECRET SONGS' (WJO) in 2012, and ‘HEART OF SORROW' (Maven/Sony) in 2014.
