Eight new maintenance vehicles for waste services, roads, drainage and parks maintenance will roll-out out across the region in coming weeks following tenders announced today by Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Council’s spokesperson for Asset, Construction and Maintenance Councillor Peter Flannery said council awarded four tenders with a total value of more than $1.3 million at its coordination committee meeting on Tuesday, August 29.
“These new vehicles will go a long way to helping crews maintain council’s 2,000 parks, 7,500ha of environmental reserves, 3,300km of sealed roads, 2,700km of stormwater drains, 500 bridges and 159,000 properties who utilise kerbside waste collection services,” Cr Flannery said.
Tenders awarded include:
· $364,000 for two 8m3 single cab mini garbage compactors with hydraulic bin lifters
· $291,000 for two 8.5T - 8.7T GVM single cab with walk-in toolbox area and tipping body trucks
· $325,000 for three 8.5 - 8.7T GVM single cab 3-way tipping trucks
· $346,000 for one 15.5T GVM single cab truck with elevated work platform body
